I'm Ryan Zidago, the person running Higherlevel. The app stores your name, email, sign-in details and workspace content so you can work with your team. That includes specs, comments, revisions and uploaded files. I also handle support messages and technical logs, including IP addresses, to help you and keep the service running.
Who can see it
Your workspace members and agents you authorize can access shared content. Publishing a spec lets anyone with its link see the published content and evidence. I can access stored data to run the service and provide support. Higherlevel has no built-in AI model; agents you connect use their own providers.
The services I use
- Render: the app, database and logs, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Cloudflare: DNS, file storage and website media.
- Mux: uploaded videos and playback.
- Resend: emails, including spec titles and comment excerpts in notifications.
- Proton Mail: messages to hello@higherlevel.to.
- GitHub: optional sign-in, sharing your account ID, name and verified email.
- Plausible: visits, page paths, referrals, approximate locations and device types. It uses no analytics cookies and says it doesn't store raw IP addresses. Details.
Higherlevel uses sign-in cookies (up to 14 days for remember-me) and browser storage for interface preferences. Activity emails have an unsubscribe link.
